Solution
Microsoft has identified an issue with the 24H2 update. We have received the following workarounds from our Microsoft distributor. If your system has not yet been upgraded to 24H2 and is still running on 22H2 or 23H2, please follow these steps:
-
Run "SLMGR /REARM":
- Ensure your system is running Windows 11 IoT 22H2.
- Open Command Prompt with Administrator Mode.
- Execute the command
SLMGR /REARM
. - Reboot your system.
- Your Windows should be activated as usual.
-
Perform Windows Update:
- Update your system to Windows 11 IoT 24H2.
- After the update, your Windows should remain activated.
If your controller has been already upgraded to Windows 11 24H2, they need to roll back to 22H2 and perform the workaround mentioned above. There are two ways to roll back to 22H2:
-
Using Windows Recovery:
- In Windows, click Start.
- Select Settings > System > Recovery.
- Under Recovery options, click the "Go back" button.
- Click the "Next" button in the "Go back to earlier build" dialog.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the rollback.
-
