Adding Custom Information to Test Results Uploaded to SystemLink Server

Issue Details

I would like to add additional information to my test results displayed in the SystemLink Web Application>>Test Insights>>Results or a different status not just Done, Passed or Failed.

Solution

You can achieve this by configuring the test results from TestStand after integrating Test Monitor with TestStand. There are different options available:
 
1. From TestStand, fill in the Additional Results property with the information you want to add:

2. In SystemLink>>Test Insights>> Results, click the sequence you want to check, and navigate to the step you added the Additional Results property:

3. Double-click the step of the sequence and expand the All Data menu, you'll see the information added there:

  • Another alternative is to add keywords or properties to your sequence, you can use these keywords to filter results later on if needed:
1. In TestStand you can add keywords or properties in the SystemLink category of the Insertion Palette:
