Issue Details

I'm a professor and I wanted to know how to access technical support as part of the Academic Volume License (AVL) contract between my university and NI.

Solution

Professors, researchers, and graduate students are eligible for technical support. To access technical support, only these eligible users can either create a service request online via Service Request Manager or call their local NI Branch.

All other ineligble users, including undergraduate students, should reach out to their university professor and/or their university software administrator for technical support. Should the issue not be resolved, an eligible user can follow the above to connect with NI’s technical support team.

You can also use the NI Forums, where members of the community can assist answering questions, providing ideas, or giving recommendations: Discussion Forums.

Additional Information

Elegible users who want to access technical support as part of an AVL must enter their Serial Number or Service ID when prompted. If the user does not have access to this information, they can reach out to their software administrator.

To get the contact information of your software administrator send an email to services@ni.com with the following information:

  • Name and site/campus of your university, and
  • your role (professor, researcher, undergraduate student, graduate student, etc).
