Does the LabVIEW DSC Module Install and Require SQL Server?

Issue Details

I have multiple Database Management Systems installed on my PC, and would like to know if the LabVIEW DSC Module installs Microsoft SQL Server along with Citadel.

Solution

Microsoft SQL Server Express is installed as part of the LabVIEW DSC Module installation. The SQL database is used to log Alarms and Event data, while Citadel stores streamed test data.
  • LabVIEW DSC 2019 and older uses Microsoft SQL Server Express 2008 R2
  • LabVIEW DSC 2020 uses Microsoft SQL Express 2012
