How to Enable Display Report in TestStand via Expression

When developing or customizing a model plug-in in NI TestStand, you may need to programmatically enable or check the Display option for report generation instead of setting it manually in the user interface. This article outlines how to configure the DisplayReport property within a sequence expression

1. Open your model plug-in sequence file in the NI TestStand Sequence Editor. For example, NI_SimpleTextReport_LabVIEW.seq, which can be found at <TestStand Public>\Components\Models\ModelPlugins.
2. In the Sequences pane, navigate to the Model Plugin - Initialize sequence.
3. Add or select a Statement step, and enter the following expression in the Expression field to enable report display:

Parameters.ModelPlugin.CategorySpecific.Settings.DisplayReport = True

4. Save the sequence file.
   
   

When Parameters.ModelPlugin.CategorySpecific.Settings.DisplayReport is set to True, the model plug-in enables the report display option programmatically during execution.
