When developing a custom process model plug-in in NI TestStand, the Display checkbox in the Result Processing dialog may be hidden or unavailable. You can make this checkbox visible by configuring the CanDisplayReport property within your model plug-in sequence file.

  1. Open your custom model plug-in sequence file in the TestStand Sequence Editor.
  2. In the Variables pane, expand FileGlobals >> ModelPluginComponentDescription >> Default >> CategorySpecific >> Settings.
  3. Locate the CanDisplayReport Boolean variable and set its value to True.
  4. Save the sequence file.
  5. Update the plug-in instance in the Result Processing configuration:
    1. Navigate to Configure >> Result Processing.
    2. Select your custom plug-in from the list.
    3. Click the Cut button (scissors icon) on the toolbar to remove the current plug-in instance.

    4. Click Insert New... and select your custom plug-in to re-add it to the list.

  1. Verify that the Display checkbox is now visible in the Result Processing table.

When set to True: The Display checkbox appears in the Result Processing dialog for your custom plug-in, allowing users to toggle whether the report displays upon test execution completion.

When set to False: The Display checkbox remains hidden/empty in the Result Processing dialog for the plug-in, preventing users from configuring automatic report viewing directly from the table interface.
