Solution

This error occurs when the SystemLink TDM User Account does not have sufficient privileges, or does not meet the requirements. The issue can suddenly appear after changing the password associated with the TDM User Account without updating the SystemLink settings.

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Windows taskbar, launch the NI SystemLink TDM Configuration application.
  2. Select the SystemLink TDM User Account tab.
  3. If configured to use the Local System Account, consider changing to Windows User Account instead.
  4. If Windows User Account is already selected, ensure that:
    • The account's password never expires.
    • The account has access to any network shares used by SystemLink.
    • The account is an administrator.
  5. If the account password was recently changed, enter it again in the Password field and click Apply.

After modifying any settings, SystemLink will automatically restart all services.
