LabVIEW Session Not Reachable Error in Nigel AI

Issue Details

When attempting to use Nigel™ AI for code generation in LabVIEW, the VI creation workflow fails, and I receive the following error message in the Nigel AI interface:

LabVIEW Session is not reachable

Additionally, reviewing the Nigel log files reveals the following underlying gRPC communication error:

RpcException: Status(StatusCode="Internal", Detail="Error starting gRPC call. HttpRequestException: Requesting HTTP version 2.0 with version policy RequestVersionExact while unable to establish HTTP/2 connection.")

Solution

This issue occurs when the required integration software between Nigel AI and LabVIEW is missing from the system.

To resolve this issue, install the Nigel AI Integration driver package using NI Package Manager:

1. Close LabVIEW and Nigel AI.
2. Open NI Package Manager.
3. Search for Nigel AI Integration.
4. Select Nigel AI Integration and click Install.
5. Follow the installation wizard prompts to complete the process.
6. Relaunch LabVIEW and Nigel AI to verify that code generation is operational.
