Issue Details

I installed the required drivers in NI InstrumentStudio and confirmed that the correct driver versions are installed. However, when I attempt to launch the Soft Front Panel, it does not open and instead indicates that the drivers need to be updated.

Solution

The issue may be caused by a corrupted driver installation or an InstrumentStudio installation issue. Perform the following steps in order, starting with the least disruptive action:
  1. Repair the affected drivers:
  2. Launch InstrumentStudio and verify whether the Soft Front Panel opens successfully.
  3. Repair NI InstrumentStudio if the issue persists.

Install and reinstall the software in the correct order if the repair actions do not resolve the issue:

  1. Uninstall NI InstrumentStudio.
  2. Uninstall the affected drivers.
  3. Reboot the system.
  4. Install the required drivers.
  5. Install NI InstrumentStudio.
  6. Launch the Soft Front Panel in InstrumentStudio and verify normal operation.

Additional Information

The installation order can affect driver detection within NI InstrumentStudio. If InstrumentStudio is installed before the required drivers are properly installed and registered, the application may incorrectly report that driver updates are required.
