How To Fix The Problem That RFmx Waveform Creator for WLAN Report Error: The specified session is invalid when using PXIe-5860 to do MIMO testing

PXIe-5860 is multiple channels VST , you can use one PXIe-5860 to setup WLAN MIMO testing station. From RFmx 2026Q2 user manual document , you can try to setup PXIe-5860 WLAN MIMO station by RFmx Waveform Creator for WLAN and RFmx WLAN. When you selected PXIe-5860's two channels as the two generators in software front panel of RFmx Waveform Creator for WLAN , you maybe faced a error "The specified session is invalid. " reported out , details refer to below picture:

How could you fix the problem ? What is the root cause?

1.Check the NI MAX report , double-check the software versions(RFmx,RFSA/SG) , like below picture:

From above picture , you can see RFmx Waveform Creator for WLAN is 2026Q2 version , is correct version. But the version of RFSG installed is old , is only 2025Q3 ;

2.Check with RD's document , RFSG/SA drivers added TClk support for PXIe-5860 first , then RFmx WLAN can support 5860 MIMO testing, like below picture:

3.Updated RFSG driver to newest 2026Q2.

After installed RFSG 2026Q2 success , the issue fixed and RFmx Waveform Creator for WLAN can support PXIe-5860 MIMO testing , like below picture:
