Driver

  • NI-XNET

Issue Details

An issue has been identified in the ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit where the LabVIEW application may become unresponsive (hang) during operation. When this condition occurs, the application cannot be stopped gracefully within LabVIEW, and the user must forcibly terminate it using the Windows Task Manager.

Solution

This behavior has been confirmed as a software bug within the toolkit. The issue has been acknowledged by the development team, and a permanent fix is planned. The fix will be delivered in the ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit 2025 Q4 patch release and will also be included in the standard release of ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit 2026 Q4.

For customers currently using ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit versions 18.5, 19.5, and 20.7, a workaround is available. Users can replace the existing DLL files with the corrected versions provided in the attachment. The DLLs must be placed according to the LabVIEW version:

  • For LabVIEW 32-bit:
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64
  • For LabVIEW 64-bit:
    C:\Windows\System32

Additional Information

As an interim measure, if the hang occurs, users should terminate the LabVIEW process via Task Manager. Applying the provided DLL replacement or upgrading to the upcoming patch release is strongly recommended to resolve the issue permanently.
