How to Load .S3T and .RPC Files in NI DIAdem and Configure the Required DataPlugins

Issue Details

You want to load .s3t and .rpc file formats into NI DIAdem, but you are unsure:

  • Whether these formats are supported
  • Where to obtain the required plugins
  • How to configure or enable them in DIAdem

Solution

1. Verify DataPlugin Availability in DIAdem

In DIAdem, support for .s3t and .rpc Formats are provided via DataPlugins.

You can verify whether the plugins are already installed:

  1. Open DIAdem
  2. Navigate to: Settings » Extensions » DataPlugins
  3. Look for entries related to:
    1. RPC (MTS RPC-III)
    2. HBM nCode S3T

If present, the formats are already supported and ready for use.

 

2. Download Required DataPlugins

If the plugins are not available in your DIAdem installation, download and install them manually:

  • MTS DataPlugin for RPC-III (.rpc)
  • HBM / Hottinger Baldwin Messtechnik DataPlugin for nCode S3T (.s3t)

These plugins can be obtained from NI’s DataPlugin repository or vendor sources.
