Issue Details

I am generating an arbitrary waveform in script mode using NI-FGEN. When I attempt to set the offset value to 2.5 V, I receive the following Error -200269 stating that the offset value must be lower than this value. Why is the available offset range limited, and how can I resolve this?

Solution

The maximum available offset is limited by the current configured waveform gain value. To resolve this issue, you must ensure that your offset and gain parameters are compatible by following these steps:

  • Identify the current Gain value configured for your waveform.
  • Adjust the Offset value to be within the limits imposed by the gain (for example, if the gain is set to 0.5, the offset must be within ±0.5 V).
  • If a higher offset is required for your application, increase the Gain parameter to expand the allowable offset range.
