When you use RFmx Waveform Creator for WLAN and NI-RFmx WLAN MIMO Measurement Interactive Panel to perform loopback testing, you often see the MAC FCS Passed measurement result as False under Frame Parameters measurement results (as shown in the figure below). How do you resolve this?

1. First, confirm WLAN signal's parameters generating by RFSG. For example, the below mage shows the settings parameters for RFmx Waveform Creator for WLAN:

The WLAN signal (frame) shown in above figure contains 283 Symbols and its length as 4.704ms;

2. Check the related parameter settings of the NI-RFmx WLAN MIMO Measurement Interactive Panel, as shown in the following figure:

The default value of Use Max Symbols Used on the NI-RFmx WLAN MIMO Measurement Interactive Panel  is 16, which is not matching with the No of Data Symbols parameter on the RFmx Waveform Creator for WLAN The Use Max Symbols Used value needs to be modified to be greater than or equal to the No of Data Symbols value.

3. Click the Advanced button under the IQ sub-panel, and turn on Decode Packet mode in the Advanced IQ Setting panel, as shown in the image below:

After completing the above steps, you will find that the MAC FCS Passed measurement result has changed to True , as shown in the image below:
