Solution

Several troubleshooting steps can be recommended to resolve the FlexLogger/any NI software installation error:

  1. Replace Offline Installer
The installer file may be corrupted. Download and use a fresh offline installer from the official NI link: Software and Driver Downloads.
  2. Check Group Policy Settings
Installation may be blocked by Group Policy or Software Restriction Policies. Open the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) and review settings under:
User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Don’t run specified Windows applications and
Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Software Restriction Policies.
Remove any restrictions that may block the installer, and for MSI installation issues, check
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Installer and set “Turn off Windows Installer” to “Never,” as shown in How to Fix “This Program Is Blocked by Group Policy” Error.
You can also manage rules by certificate, hash, path, or internet zone, and adjust trusted publisher settings, as described in Work with Software Restriction Policies Rules.
If installation is still blocked, review registry settings or run the installer as administrator, as shown in The System Administrator Policies Prevent the App Installation.
  3. Restore NIMSIProperties Folder
Restore the NIMSIProperties folder located at:
    C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI Package Manager
    Then, retry the installation.
  4. Disable Windows Smart App Control
If using Windows 11 Pro, disable the Windows Smart App Control feature as recommended in Error -125530 Found in Error Logfiles When Installing NI Package Manager before installing.
  5. General Compatibility and Troubleshooting
Refer to Troubleshoot FlexLogger: Installation Issues for additional troubleshooting steps.
