NI-XNET Initialize Error When Creating Session

Issue Details

When creating a new NI-XNET session, I receive the following error:

 

Initialize error

Failed to load project.

Some components required for editing are missing. Please contact National Instruments for more information.

What can I do to create an XNET Session?

Solution

This is listed as a Known Issue. 

While this issue is being addressed, follow one of the workaround options below:

  • Use XNET Create Session VI and other XNET VIs to create XNET Sessions and edit XNET variables.
  • Download LabVIEW 2023 and NI-XNET 2023.
  • If you have installed NI-XNET 2024, upgrade to NI-XNET 2025.
