The POWER LED on cDAQ-9178 Is Not Lit with Power Supplied

Issue Details

I've provided the power to the cDAQ-9178, but the POWER LED is not lit, it's the same with the READY LED. The ACTIVE LED is amber.

Is this hardware failure?

Solution

Yes, if the power supply is normal but POWER LED on cDAQ-9178 is not lit, it must be hardware failure. Raise a RMA request via ni.com or contacting NI.

Three status LEDs are on cDAQ-9178: POWER, ACTIVE and READY.

  • The POWER LED tells if the cDAQ is properly powered(When the cDAQ hardware is healthy)
  • The ACTIVE LED indicates cDAQ chassis USB bus communication
  • The READY LED lights when the cDAQ chassis is ready for use
