Issue Details

After recently upgrading the NI-RFSA and NI-RFSG drivers to version 2025 Q3, the self-calibration for my Vector Signal Transceiver (VST) is now failing with error -1074100400. However, the intermediate self-test passes and the hardware is still operational. When I look at the 'Self-Cal.log' file located at C:\Users\<LocalAdmin>\AppData\Local\Temp\niVST Cal Results, the detailed error states the following:

[-1074100400]
Generate Curve From Reference Curve.vi:1880001<APPEND>
Frequency array must be monotonic and strictly increasing.
Index 36, Freq 8100000000.000000

How do I resolve this error?

Solution

This is a known issue that was found in the earlier versions of the NI-RFSA/RFSG 2025 driver software which has since been fixed.

Please upgrade the NI-RFSA/RFSG drivers to the 2025 Q4 Patch 1 or newer to resolve this issue.

If your VST is still unable to successfully complete the self-calibration after upgrading the drivers, please contact NI Technical Support.

Additional Information

It is recommended to have matching versions of all RF drivers and software installed on your system. If upgrading NI-RFSA, upgrade NI-RFSG to the same version.
