Error -50152: A Hardware Failure Has Occurred for PXIe-6614 in NI MAX

Issue Details

There is only one PXIe-6614 in the PXI system, but in NI MAX  it shows two 6614 items in Devices and Interfaces, with one having cross sign on the icon. At right side, it shows the erroe message as below. Actions including Self-Test and Reset also fail.

Status Code: -50152

A hardware failure has occurred. The operation could not be completed as specified.

 

Is this really a hardware failure?

Solution

Yes, as the error message indicates, this error belongs to a hardware one, and is not able to be restored by software methods. Submit a repair(RMA) request for the PXIe-6614 device via ni.com, or contact NI tech support to help you do so.
