LabVIEW Crash Related to RFmx FFT Calculation

Issue Details

Customer experiences LabVIEW crash while running an application that calls RFmx 25.0.

Observed symptoms may include:

  • LabVIEW application terminates unexpectedly during execution

  • Issue is intermittent / non-deterministic

  • Difficult to reproduce consistently in-house

Solution

Crash dump analysis indicates the crash originates from RFmx.

Internal investigation confirms:

  • Crash is caused by a race condition during FFT calculation in RFmx.

  • Root cause has been fixed in RFmx 25.5.

  • This fix was identified internally during debugging efforts for another escalation, therefore may not appear in public RFmx release notes.
