Propagate Custom Properties in a Channel Group on DIAdem™

In this article, you will learn how to propagate a Channel Group property (which can be a custom property) into the channels within the Channel Group.
To achieve this, you will need:

  • DIAdem.

To propagate a Channel Group property, you need to configure this option when loading data into the Data Portal by following these steps:

 

  1. Open the DIAdem software.
  2. Open the Settings>>DIAdem Settings menu.
  3. Go to the NAVIGATOR tab in the Panels section.
  4. In the DataFinder loading behavior section, change the Property inheritance level to Copy to channel level, as shown below:



  5. With this setting enabled, when you load a Channel Group into the Data Portal, its properties will be copied to all channels within that Channel Group.
