Error -125081 When Installing SystemLink Package

Issue Details

When attempting to install a package created in SystemLink Server onto a SystemLink Client, the installation fails with the following error found in the Detailed Results in SystemLink jobs:

Error -125081: The package mycompany-myproduct requires a newer version of the Package Manager.

 

Solution

This error occurs because the NI Package Manager version on the SystemLink Client is outdated. The package you are trying to install requires a newer version of the Package Manager.

To resolve this issue:

  1. Open NI Package Manager on the SystemLink Client.
  2. Navigate to the UPDATES tab.
  3. Install the latest update for NI Package Manager.
  4. After updating, retry the package installation.
