Issue Details

I purchased the SCB-68A as the terminal block for my PXIe-654x device. However, I discovered that the SCB-68A uses a different connector format compared to the PXIe-654x device. Can I use the SCB-68A with my PXIe-654x device?

Solution

You can use the SCB-68A as a terminal block, but you need the 653x Cable Adapter when connecting to newer NI-HSDIO devices such as the PXIe-6544.

The 653x Cable Adapter is only recommended if you are already using the SCB-68A in your existing system and are upgrading from the 6533/6534 to an HSDIO device with a VHDCI 68-pin connector. It is not recommended for new designs. If you are designing a new system or application, NI recommends using an accessory with a VHDCI 68-pin connector instead of the 653x Cable Adapter.
