Intermediate Self-Test Failed on NI VST Device

Issue Details

After I setup the device PXIe-5842 and PXIe-5655, I am able to get the Basic self-test passed on NI MAX. However, I am not able to get Intermediate self-test passed. What should I do to solve this issue?

The result are given as below:
 

Solution

  • Make sure that the connection is set the same as in this article: Interconnecting the PXIe-5842 VST
  • Remove the cable and check the cable to see whether there is any damage on it, including the pin at the center of the connector. Make sure the center pin of the RF cable does not break.
  • Try to use the cotton bud and wet it with the IPA (isopropyl alcohol) solution, then wipe the RF cable connector. Screw it tightly, but don't overtighten it.

If the above does not resolve the issue, please contact NI Technical Support to determine whether the device would require any repair maintenance.
