How to Configure PXIe-7891 in VeriStand FPGA Addon When RIO Scan Fail to Detect It

Issue Details

I want to use the PXIe-7891 in VeriStand. I have added the FPGA Addon custom device, but the device does not appear in the RIO Device scanning results. How can I use it?

Solution

  1. Ensure that you are using a version of VeriStand compatible with this device. Based on the GitHub release notes(link), the earliest version that supports this hardware is 2023 Q3.
  2. Use the Hardware Discovery Wizard to locate the card name. Note that the card will appear as PXIe-7994R instead of PXIe-7891. In this example, the name is "RIO1"
