Issue Details

I want to know the maximum current output possible when merging channels on the PXIe-4163 Source Measure Unit (SMU).

Solution

The PXIe-4163 supports merge counts of ×2, ×4, and ×8, allowing multiple configurations depending on your application needs. When merging channels:

 

  • You can merge up to 8 channels to achieve a maximum output of 400 mA.
  • Although the PXIe-4163 has 24 channels, only three sets of 8 channels can be merged to output 400 mA each.
