VLM Report Shows Usage Exceeding 24 Hours Per Day

Issue Details

I am managing user-based licenses in VLM.
When I generate the License Activity report, some users appear to have usage exceeding 24 hours in a single day.
Why does this occur, and what should I check?

 

Solution

This behaviour can occur when a user runs LabVIEW (or other licensed NI software) from multiple computers using the same user-based license.
VLM calculates total usage by summing the time used across all machines.
Therefore, if the same user runs the software on multiple computers simultaneously, the total recorded usage time may exceed 24 hours for that day.
