When using TestStand, users can specify the report file path using an expression. This allows the use of macros such as FileTime and FileDate to include date and time information in the filename. In some cases, users may want to customise the format of the values returned by these macros.

This article demonstrates how to modify the date and time format returned by the FileDate and FileTime macros.

The date and time values returned by the FileDate and FileTime macros depend on the system’s regional settings.
The following steps describe how to modify the regional format in Windows 11.

  1. Open Setting
  2. Navigate to Time & language>>Language & legion>>Regional format
  3. Change the format of Short date to change the date format returned by FileDate
  4. Change the format of Long time to change the time format returned by FileTime
