Can Temperature Input Modules Take Standard AI Voltage Measurements?

Issue Details

I want to take measurements with a C Series temperature input module, but I want to measure raw voltage without converting it into temperature. Which modules can do this?

Solution

Some temperature input modules can make an AI voltage measurement without converting the measurement into a temperature. However, the modules are optimized for temperature measurements and has a limited range for other types of applications. 

 

Temperature modules that can take voltage measurements are:

  • NI-9210
  • NI-9211
  • NI-9212
  • NI-9213
  • NI-9214

 

Not all temperature modules can take voltage measurements. For example,  Resistance Temperature Diode (RTD) measurement modules cannot take voltage measurements. 

 

The following modules cannot take voltage measurements:

  • NI-9216
  • NI-9217
  • NI-9226
