PXIe-5841 Streaming Example Blue Screens on Playback

Issue Details

I am encountering a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) when attempting to play back a TDMS file generated using a PXIe-5841 streaming example. The streaming to disk process completes successfully without errors, but playback triggers a system crash.

Solution

To troubleshoot and try resolve this issue, follow these steps:

1. Repair NI Software Components
   Use NI Package Manager to repair the following:

   • LabVIEW
   • RFmx
   • NI-RFSG
     

2. Contact to NI Technical Support after:

   • Retrieve BSOD Error Codes:
     To gather more information about the crash:

     • Press the Windows key or click Start, then search for Event Viewer or type eventvwr.msc and press Enter.
     • Navigate to Windows Logs > System.
       • Locate the critical event corresponding to the BSOD (based on date/time).
         • Click Event Properties in the Actions pane.

• • Under the General tab, note the dump file path and share the file.
