The mapping diagram in VeriStand is used to connect data sources to data destinations. In most cases, different functions don't run separately. Different functions should be mapped to each other. Sometimes, there are thousands of channels which need to be connected. Manual connection will waste too much time. If it is possible to connect the VeriStand channels automatically, it will improve the working efficiency.

Before automapping, the channel name of the source node must match the channel name of the destination node. Then, you can create mappings between terminals by selecting the source and destination nodes and selecting Automap

If the direction of the mapping cannot be automatically determined, use the Automap dialog box that appears to specify the source of the mappings.

Note: To select the source node and the destination node, you should select one node, then press Shift to select another node.

The terminals with matching names are connected.
