Solution
This issue is often caused by DIAdem not selecting the correct Dataplugin when multiple plugins are configured to support the same file extension (e.g., .dat). To resolve this:
- Check Dataplugin Settings by going to Settings » Extensions » Dataplugin... and review the list of installed plugins. If multiple plugins support .dat files, DIAdem may not automatically choose the correct one during drag-and-drop.
- If multiple plugins support .dat files, use the Open File Dialog instead and manually select the correct file type.
For example, when opening DRIVE.dat from
C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\DIAdem 20xx\Data, make sure to select "DIAdem DAT File" from the file type dropdown list.
