Error Loading VI with LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit for Excel using TestStand

Issue Details

I had created a VI in LabVIEW 2024 Q3, which consist of using LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit for Excel, and I want to run the VI using TestStand 2023 Q4. However, when I tried to do so, an error message appeared. The error message is as shown below:

Unable to load VI 'exExcel1.vi' with the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine version 24.3 (64-bit).

The VI is broken. Please refer to the log file from TestStand for more information.

Solution

This error is caused by the TestStand version used to execute the VI is not compatible with the LabVIEW version. Since the VI was created using LabVIEW 2024 Q3, the compatible TestStand versions are TestStand 2024 Q4 and above. To resolve the compatibility issue, either upgrade or downgrade TestStand or LabVIEW so that both software is compatible with each other.
