Issue Details

Whenever I try to connect to our NHR 9410 from a remote PC, I am receiving an error dialog with the message:

Error connecting to "TCPIP::192.168.0.xxx". Error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 192.168.0.xxx:5025.

What can be causing this issue?

Solution

The NHR 9410 has two IP addresses.  One IP address is for the NHR 9410 power module itself which is used for sending commands and queries to the physical hardware.  Then there is a separate IP address for the touchscreen controller (Android-based tablet) which is used to send commands to the NHR 9410 power module without using an external PC.

This error is typically seen when the two IP addresses explained above are identical and you are attempting to make a connection from an external PC to the NHR 9410 power module itself.

To resolve the issue, you can follow the instructions in the NHR-9410/9420 User Manual starting on page 34 to configure the two IP addresses to be different.
