What is the Minimum Output Power Level of NI PXIe-5831?

Issue Details

I found out that when using the NI PXIe-5831, the output power could only reach -30 dBm. It doesn't work if I try to set it to lower than -30 dBm.

What is the minimum output power level of PXIe-5831? I can't find this info from PXIe-5831 specifications.

Solution

The minimum output power for either the IF or the mmWave ports are specified as "Noise Floor" in Table 8 and Table 21 respectively.

Possibly something wrong with the unit if they are unable to get different power levels below -30 dBm (e.g. attenuation states not switching in appropriately). Have them try running a self-calibration and set power levels again.
