DataFinder Crashes While Under Heavy Load in SystemLink Server 2025

Issue Details

SystemLink Server 2025 Q1 and SystemLink Server 2025 Q2 are affected by a bug where DataFinder can crash unexpectedly under heavy load with very large datasets (for example, indexing 1TB of high complexity data files).

 

To determine if you are encountering this bug (3114881), examine this log file:
C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\DataFinder Server Edition\Config\TDMServer_Database_1_0.err

 

... and look for errors similar to:

In addition, there will be log messages indicating the database has detected long wait times and has crashed. 

Solution

NI has released SystemLink Server 2025 Q2 Patch 1 to address this issue.  Install SystemLink Server 2025 Q2 Patch 1 from ni.com/downloads or NIPM to resolve the issue.
