"Access to the registry key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NH Research\Enerchron\LocalStreamServerAddress' is denied." Error After Installing Enerchron

Issue Details

After installing Enerchron and performing a reboot, I receive the following error when my computer reboots:

 

 

How do I resolve this error?

Solution

This error occurs when Enerchron is installed but the configuration of the software is not completed. 

 

To resolve this error, you need need to open the Advanced Configuration utility (C:\Program Files (x86)\NH Research\Enerchron\nrAdvancedConfig.exe) and enable the Online checkbox shown in the image below:

 

 

After this, you can click OK and the error will no longer occur.
