Does NI-DAQmx 20.7 Really Support LabVIEW 2018

According to the NI-DAQmx 20.7 Readme, NI-DAQmx 20.7 supports LabVIEW 2018. After installing LabVIEW 2018 and NI-DAQmx 20.7, I can't find the DAQmx APIs in LabVIEW. I also checked the Installed list in NI Package Manager and can't find NI-DAQmx Support for LabVIEW 2018. Does NI-DAQmx 20.7 really Support LabVIEW 2018?

Solution

This is a known issue. NI Package Manager sees LabVIEW 2018 SP1 installed, but does not detect it properly when installing the NI-DAQmx 20.7. You can follow the steps to fix this issue:

  1. Select the PACKAGES tab.
  2. Switch OFF Products only.
  3. Enter "DAQmx" in the search box to reduce the amount of packages list.
  4. Find the "NI-DAQmx Support for LabVIEW 2018 (32-bit)".
  5. Select it and click INSTALL.
