Issue Details

I am looking for a product that can be set to a center frequency of 7.6 GHz to 8 GHz. The USRP-X410 is a product with a center frequency of up to 7.2 GHz, and the Ettus link states "tunable up to 8 GHz." When developing with LabVIEW, can it be used at 8 GHz? Is there any difference when we use it by LabVIEW or by UHD?

Solution

USRP-X410 with LabVIEW can be used for a center frequency of 8 GHz. The 7.2 GHz limitation listed is not a limit on what frequencies can be tuned to, but what frequencies meet the performance specifications of the device. RF performance between 7.2 GHz and 8.0 GHz is not guaranteed and may not be tested.

The NI-USRP API in LabVIEW calls into UHD under the hood, so the behavior should be the same. The normal way of setting the center frequency should allow tuning over the full range of the hardware.
