DAQmx Support for Phar Lap ETS Operating System

Issue Details

I'm using a DAQmx device on a Phar Lap ETS Controller. On my host PC, I have installed 2022 version of LabVIEW and drivers to develop my application. When I want to add DAQmx 2022 Q3 to the real time controller from NI-MAX, I could not see the NI-DAQmx driver version from the version list. How can I solve this issue?

Solution

The Phar Lap Real-Time operating system has been discontinued. NI Software including NI-DAQmx released after May 2022 are no longer supported on Phar Lap Real-Time OS. To resolve above issue, you need to install lower version of DAQmx driver on the host PC and then perform software installation into the controller using NI-MAX. 

Please consider migrating the Phar Lap Real-Time OS to NI Linux Real-Time to ensure software support and compatibility for software released after May 2022. You may refer to this Migrating PharLap Application to NI Linux RT on how to migrate to NI Linux RT environment. 

Additional Information

Standard support for Phar Lap has ended in 2025 Q2. NI encourages to migrate to NI Linux RT application to ensure availability for support and software maintenance.
