Issue Details

Due to the possibility of insufficient current for the analog output, I am trying to supply external power from the PC to the PCIe-6363 4-pin connector.

I believe I can use peripheral power connector (4-pin) as per below image for this purpose, but can NI provide a connection diagram for the 4-pin connector on the PCIe-6363 DAQ board?

Solution

NI database does not have a connection diagram for the 4-pin connector.
The reason is that the 4-pin connector uses a standard connection as shown in this external link and image.

If you would like further confirmation on this matter, please share an image of your disk drive power connector, hence reach to NI Technical Support to verify it further.

Additional Information

Based on PCIe-6363 Specifications, you can use 5V and 12V voltages when connecting to the 4-pin connector.
Additionally, the current limit when connecting to the disk drive power connector is 1A.
