Developing a LabVIEW Application for use in EOL NI Hardware

Issue Details

I am developing a LV project in a relatively new version, but my cDAQ (or hardware) only supports up to a certain version. Can I still develop the application in my current version if I want to run/deploy it in that older hardware?

Solution

Developing software for an EOL hardware using a newer LV version is possible, as long as the project/application is saved for a previous version which is compatible with the hardware.

When saving the project in LabVIEW, go to File >> Save for Previous Version >> Select the LabVIEW version being used in the EOL hardware.
