Issue Details

I just bought LabVIEW license. When I click and run the LabVIEW installer, the installation stops in the middle and following error appear

An error occurred while installing a package: ni-assistant-framework-x86(24.1.0.49440-0+f288)

Additional error information:

  • An error occurred while installing the MSI at 'MStudioRecipeProcessor\MStudioRecipeProcessor.msi'. Error 1327. Invalid Drive: D:\

How can I resolve above issue?

Solution

Above issue occurs when the installer is trying to access a drive that doesn't exist or is not currently accessible. Starting from 2019, NI no longer offer users to choose disk drives for the installation. All NI software installation will automatically be done on Local Disk C.

To resolve the above issue, please follow below steps:

  1. Check if there is folder moved from Local Disk C to other disk in the system.
  2. Move the folder back to its original place in Local Disk C.
  3. Run the installer as Administrator and perform the installation again.

If the issue persists even after all the folder has been moved back to its original place, please contact NI for further troubleshooting.

Additional Information

Changing the installation directory to Disk D by any alternative method is not officially supported by NI. Any damages to the system caused by it is at user responsibilities.
