Warning: Maximum File Size Exceeded in Multisim

Issue Details

I have Multisim file with large design. When attempting to save a simulation in Multisim, the below warning message appears. What can I do to avoid this warning message from appearing again?

Warning: Maximum File Size Exceeded. The maximum threshold for simulation data is set to 1 MB. This design will exceed the threshold. 

Solution

The warning appears because simulation file size exceeded the threshold set in the simulation setting. To prevent this warning message from popping out again, please follow below steps:

1. Open the Multisim file. 
2. Click Options tab
3. Click Global Options
    
4. Click Save
5. On the Save simulation data with instruments item, Change the Maximum file size to a new value which is larger than the required size mentioned in the warning message. By default, the maximum file size is set to 1MB. 
6. Click Apply
7. Click OK
   

After you have changed the maximum file size, you may try saving the simulation data again. In step (3), you might also choose Sheet properties instead of Global options. Changes made to the Sheet properties will only be reflected to the sheet you are working on.
