Issue Details

What is the recommended torque value for 10-32 coaxial connectors of NI-9231? This information cannot be found in the specification, user manual and getting started guide of NI-9231.

Solution

The recommended torque value is 1.5 in-lbs for proper hand tightening and untightening. 

If the user plans to do hand tightening, then 1.5 in-lbs is fine, but if the user plans to do tool tightening and prevent hand untightening (only tool loosening), please go beyond up to 2.0 in-lbs.

Additional Information

If more than 2.0 in-lbs is used, there will be a risk of damaging the red gasket on the connector.
