Issue Details

I would like to know the difference in behavior between using either the E-OFF or Disable external interface for the NHR 9300 as I would like to use an external safety switch for the unit.

Solution

The E-OFF and Disable interface allow an external signal to force the system into an "OFF" state.  These signals should be shorted with wire, relay contacts, or external switch contacts.

Either interface when open will:

  1. Command the module to enter the off state
  2. Open the UUT contactors (isolating UUT from the NHR 9300 system)
  3. Refuse to process any further commands

Additionally E-OFF adds:

  1. Opens the facility power contactors (double isolation)
  2. Requires a reset to resume operation
