Compatibility Error When Connecting to Network License

Issue Details

I receive the error below when I try to connect to a license server when opening LabVIEW:

 

LabVIEW_Core:
The connected license server is incompatible with this version of NI License Manager. Ask your license server administrator to upgrade to the latest version of the license server.

 

Solution

The version of the NI License Manager installed on your PC may not be compatible with the version of the Volume License Manager (VLM) or FlexLM used on the server. Please verify the compatibility by checking the NI License Manager and Volume License Manager Compatibility document. If there is an incompatibility, the server administrator will need to upgrade the VLM or FlexLM version accordingly.
