How to Connect to USRP-2974 (Windows 10) With Other Host PC?

Issue Details

I have a USRP-2974 with Windows 10 installed into the USRP. Currently I'm planning to control the USRP-2974 from my Desktop. Is it possible? Besides, I was expecting from the main Host PC NI MAX is able to connect with the USRP-2974 so I can control it directly without using Remote Desktop Connection.

 

Solution

The USRP-2974 is essentially a PC with an X310 in a box. See the block diagram here. The PC and the X310 are connected via Ethernet and PCIe. The Windows version uses the PCIe connection similarly to how you would with an embedded controller and an MXI card. In conclusion, there is no way to connect from one Windows PC to an MXI-connected device on another Windows PC.
