Issue Details

  • When I used the LabVIEW shipping example, RFSG Write Waveform From Text File.vi and RFmx Waveform Creator, I noticed that the power levels obtained are different. How to solve this issue?

  • There are differences in the upconverter gain when I use different version of LabVIEW and NI-RFSG driver. Why does this happen?
When I used NI-RFSG 19.6 version, the upconverter gain that I obtained was as below:

When I changed to NI-RFSG 24.0 version, the upconverter gain that I obtained was as below:

Solution

This is a bug that has been fixed in the NI-RFSG 23.5 driver. If you are using an older NI-RFSG, kindly update the NI-RFSG driver to the latest. Remember to check the compatibility between operating system, LabVIEW, and NI-RFSG driver.

Additional Information

If you are not able to update the driver, you may consider the approach below by moving the niRFSG Properties Node in the LabVIEW shipping example after the niRFSG Write Arb Waveform.vi.

Note: If you are using Diagram Disabled Structure to disable the old niRFSG Properties Node, remember to connect the wires on the Enabled case.
