LabVIEW Not Being Able to Use More Than 64 Logical Processors in Windows 10

Updated Apr 16, 2025

Issue Details

When using LabVIEW on Windows 10 and having the capacity to use more than 64 logical processors, there is a limitation on 64 logical processors even if there more logical processors available to be used.

Solution

This issue is related to how Windows 10 handles logical processors within processor groups. Windows 10 separates logical processors into groups of 64 and uses these groups at different times to balance processor usage. To resolve this issue, updating to Windows 11 is required, as it allows the use of more than 64 logical processors simultaneously.
